India is great from the view of it's culture & heritage. You must have heard the names of Nalanda, Takshashila, Vikramshila and many others_ Some 2000 years back these were the great learning Centers_ People from the entire world used to get attracted for learning arts, science and other subjects. In course of time, decline & decay started and now our glorious history we read in the books. Our prosperity faded away, We remained backward lot of people_ Indeed, we missed Industrial revolution, Europe, America and other developed world harvested rich benefits from the Industrial Revolution_ We remained poor and destitute.

Presnetly we are in 21st century and we all are proud that we are able to show our presence to the entire world. Young Indians have made miracles in the Silicon Valley. Not only in abroad but in our own country, we are now able to attract the people from the entire world including America and other developed countries. You must be knowing that return journey of AR! to our own country is in full swing_ Not only this but also many of the citizens of developed world are thronging to Indian companies in India as their employees. This was mainly possibal because of the outstanding contribution made by us in the field of IT. I say with confidence that 21st Century is the century of India and it is the century of Indian youths. I am sure today's Indian youths are capable to compensate all loses that have been accumulates during the past. You must be knowing that India's service sector is worth 600 billion dollars. This is indeed enormous. This is the brightest spot in our economy. In order to make progress in this, we have to expand this sector exponentially,

In IT sector alone we need 1 lakh professionals each year Unfortunately we are falling short in this This is posing as crisis. Planning Commission has therefore recently proposed that private sector be allowed to earn profit setting up Professional Institutions. The beuracrctic hurdles in their path be removed. Private colleges would have freedom to fix fees, faculty salaries etc. We should also be allowing private universities in near future.

Inthe present context of shrinkage of public support for education, privatization is the only alternative and the way to it lies through self-financing education agencies run with utmost commitment to the cause of education. Among total colleges and universities in USA, Three-quarters are private, self-financing institutions. Further it is surprising to note that the top 24 institutions in USAAre all private and self-financing institutions.

It is estimated that by 2020 India will have a surplus working population of about 47 million, whereas developed countries will need 40 millions extra technical workers. There is thus huge opportunity here waiting to be exploited, but only if Indian workers rapidly acquire the necessary skills.
